2016-66 Filing Due May 1, 2017 and 2016 8886 Forms

IRS Notice 2016-66 requires the filing of Form 8886 for Captives, Insureds and Captive Owners by May 1, 2017. Captive Alternatives is in the process of completing Forms 8886 for the years 2011 – 2015 and will send you these forms for review and filing after April 15 but before the extended due date of May 1, 2017.

Form 8886 – 2016-66 IRS Disclosure

In late 2016 the IRS declared Captive programs to be transactions of interest and requested certain disclosures dating back five years. Captive Alternatives has begun the process of providing this information, and anticipated delivering it by the January 30, 2017 deadline.
